1. What does it mean to you to represent your club on this tour? It’s a real privilege. I currently play for Napier Old Boys Marist, but I’ve also represented Cashel RFC back home in Ireland and the Scone Brumbies during my time in Australia. Each club has shaped me in different ways, and I carry those experiences with me. Being selected for this tour is a chance to represent the hard work, friendships, and support I’ve received over the years—both on and off the field.

2. What’s your proudest rugby moment so far?Captaining Cashel RFC during the 2022–23 season. It was a challenging year, but having the opportunity to lead my home club meant a huge amount to me. It was a proud moment not just for me, but for my family as well. That season really brought home what the sport means to the people closest to me.

3. Who’s your biggest supporter and why? My parents, without question—especially my dad. He’s been there for nearly every match I’ve played, including flying over to Australia to watch me with the Scone Brumbies. At the time, I probably didn’t realise how much that meant, but now that I’ve been playing in New Zealand for the past two seasons, I’ve come to really miss having him on the sideline. His presence and support has always been important for me.

4. What advice would you give to young players who dream of going on tour one day?Take every opportunity rugby gives you. It’s more than just a sport—it’s a passport to new places, new people, and lifelong mates. I’ve been lucky enough to play in three different countries through rugby, and it’s opened doors I never expected. If you get the chance to tour or travel, take it seriously, work hard, and enjoy the experiences. They don’t come around forever.
