Congratulations to the following:

All Black Training Squad selections 2012 & NZ 7's.
Tony Woodcock (Marist North Harbour)
Victor Vito (Marist St Pat's, Wellington)
Ben Tameifuna (Hastings Rugby & Sports)

Ben was a member of the 2010 NZ Marist Colts that toured the bottom of the south Island and a member of the 2011 NZ Marist XV that played the Heartland XV in Pukekohe. Of interest also is Steve Hansen, current All black Coach and former Christchurch Marist club player (now known as Marist Albion) also toured with the 1983 NZ Marist Colts.

In the recent victorious NZ 7's team who took out their 10th World Series title, Marist are also represented during the series by:
Lote Raikabula (Marist St Pat's, Wellington)
Mark Jackman (Napier OB Marist in 2011 before moving to Christchurch in 2012)
Frank Halai (Hamilton Marist)
Jonathan Malo (Hamilton Marist)
Hosea Gear (Hutt OB Marist)

... and of course the 1974 NZ Marist Colt, 49th inductee into the IRB Hall of Fame, winner of four Commonwealth Gold Medals and a Sevens World Cup Championship, former Marist St Michael's of Rotorua club rugby player and now Coach of the NZRU Sevens team, Gordon Tietjens. Special mention of Gordon's ongoing commitment to NZ Marist Rugby in that he continues to support our teams having a hand in the selections of the NZ Marist 7's teams as well as facilitating a number of Seven's camps for the selected team over the years and being a regular feature on the NZ Marist Colts Tours, turning up to provide input to the colts players with both training sessions and team discussions.
